Then tomarow /later today I'm taking my case to my uncles house and I'm going to use his air compressor to really blow the dust out and do a few mods to the case.

Cut out the grid lines where the fan's are, cut out another fan hole, and have him help me install a 3 way power switch that you would see in the movie gone in 60 seconds...

NO!....

It could die before may, It doesn't matter if it still new it's a crap PSU.(and not worth $114)

Do I care what you think? I've read all the reviews bout that psu and all the good reviews said it's a good psu for the price and it will last as long as I want it too.

That was rather rude.

On the same token, I bought a 600W Pow-Max PSU and everyone here made there kapow-max jokes blah blah blah last time I was upgrading and listing my system specs and I've had it for over 3 years now (longer than being a member here) and it has run like a champ. It's just a fileserver now though as my Mac is my main system

Very cool fudgenuggets, Well he was rude first.

Anyways FudgeMan I'm not supprised your nto a bluey or a greenie though... You all allways help people who are in need.

The Xclio is decent, but I wouldn't run Crossfire with it. No.

As far as Fudgenuggest goes; yeah, a 600W Powmax PSU might work 85% of the time. But were you running Crossfire or SLI with it? Albiet an Xclio is much better than a Powmax.

I used to work for a dealer that sold Powmax. Most, but not all, came back. Especially if you ran anything more than a "basic" system. And to top it off, they do it at about 60% efficiency so what you saved on a Powmax, you're giving to the electric company. ;)

Run with one card for 2mos?
Not trying to be rude, but over half the reviews said their will be enough power to run both cards though?

Then again maybe I shouldn't beleive all the reviews, although they've never steered me wrong before...

I should be able to run a dvd rom drive, mother board, sound card, 2x video cards, 2 hard drives right?

Read what JonnyGURU said, he's a proper PSU reviewer, not just some randomer who posted a comment on newegg.

Derek, newegg reviews are worthless. I would not put much weight on them. I wish you had asked around here, or even searched for similar threads before making your choice. Powmax and Xion are poor choices for a dual GPU system. Although not as bad as Deer, Leadman comes a close second.

That being said, the comp in my lab runs on a Powmax, which has stood the test of time (almost 7 years now). But then, it looks reasonably well built on the inside (Rybycon and Matsu****a capacitors and a fair margin on the transistor/diode packs) plus the system it runs is a 5V based P3. Can't say that for newer units, which seem to be crap.

Hell no! Rocketfish = Dynex = Shenzen Chi Yuan = dodgy unit at a rip off price!

Pick up a Corsair HX620 instead from newegg.
