apears to be a 2.0 turion (A64 mobile)
giga ram
100gb HDD
dual layer burner
X700 mobile (which is supposed to be much better than the 9700p mobile)
widescreen, 5in1 card reader, bluetooth, wireless, gigabit....and it looks 10 times better than the old ferrari laptop, that CF and red and black are sweet! decent mouse as well!

I was reading about this acer a while back. Seems the prancing pony on the front makes for a pretty good thoroughbred machine :D

Very nice laptop. Before I got my i9300, I was seriously looking at that laptop, but the X700 is just not enought for down the line.

Hi. My Name Is Pavlos And Im From Greece.

Im Intersting To OverClock All My NoteBooks.

I Have 3 Models And They Are Very Slow.

1. FUJITSU-SIEMENS E4010 (CENTRINO 1,4Ghz)

2. TOSHIBA SATELLITE SA50-543 (CENTRINO 1,5Ghz)

3. HP ZV5374EA (P4 3,2Ghz)

Which Programms Should I Use To?

I Forgot To Tell You That Your NoteBook Is Perfect !!!

:)

I got it as a gift from my parents.
just walked into my bedroom and found it on my desk.
I was so damn happy i almost fainted at the age of 25.
who said you grow up eh?

the price is about $2500 CDN.
I've never been happy with a laptop till today.
Only two things i didnt like about this lappy is that the OSXP PRO that comes with it is preinstalled and custom configured by acer. when on battery this thing scales back way too much and application launch time is reduced big time. however you could fix this problem by just joining the technology update program which allows you to get the 64bit version of winxp for free + shipping. problem fixed since the xp64 version that they sent was not optimized by acer and was directly from microsoft. the other thing is that the mouse that comes with it sucks so bad, it not even funny.

i upgraded two things after i got this lappy. replaced the 100gb HD with a 60gb 7200rpm hitachi and 2 gigs of kingston ram.

also running windows xp x64 edition.
psu never gets hot.

In order to overclock you have to edit the settings in the bios. To test for stability you can run a program called prime95. There many faqs on the web and on the forum on how to overclock. Go ahead and search for them. :)
