Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and i have came for advice on building my new gaming PC.
I am a complete newbie at PC building and i have gathered a list of parts which from my knowledge seem perfect for what i need... but i want some reinsurement that the parts i picked will be perfectly fine, maybe some suggestions on parts that i may or may not need and so on.
My budget is 1500$ and this computer will be used strictly for gaming and light video editing. I will be purchasing this computer after christmas and i do realize the price of this rig will be different from what it is currently priced at.
Currently the rig comes to pretty much exactly 1500$

The parts i have chosen are: (i am providing links to the products)

Thank you for all of your time, i am looking forward to see what you have to say.:)

You'll want to hit a different series of hard drives first. The F2EG is simply energy-efficient mass storage. There isn't a whole lot of speed back there. Try an F3 series 1TB drive instead.

The 2600K, ASUS Z68 board, and Corsair Vengeance combo should make for a quick system. I couldn't complain about those choices.

Hyper 212 EVO should keep the i7 happy to well over 4GHz. Good choice.

The OS and DVD burner are pretty standard components. Nothing to see here.

The GTX 580 is big and fast. And hungry. I doubt you'd need much more than one of these for anything at all. SLI, maybe, only if you'll be running on 3 monitors... otherwise it'd be pretty pointless with most 1080-resolution screens.

I've never used or even been near an XCLIO Windtunnel. Looks like a good, heavy case, if a bit unrefined. I'd pay a few extra bucks for one o' 'dem Fractal Design Define R3s that all the kids lose their minds over nowadays. I see you guys don't get the NZXT Phantom at that Newegg store - the loadout of fans alone makes them worthwhile. As does the complete and utter silence they provide. I'm also a fan of the Inwin BUC. Cases are a pretty personal choice, though. Get what you like!

As for the fans... not sure about those. I have a Rosewill Challenger case, and it came with three fans - the front one looks an awful lot like that one, and didn't impress me. Not particularly quiet, and didn't move all that much air. I removed it... I'd probably hit up some Scythe Slipstreams if I were to add fans to that case.

The power supply will be a point of contention here, I'm sure. Jonnyguru gave the Rosewill Extreme 850W they reviewed (a slightly different model number, but the only real difference being fan configuration) good marks. When some people hear "Rosewill", they go into shutdown mode. Truth be told, some of their lines (ATNG-built Extreme models and Super Flower-built Lightning models) are actually quite good. I couldn't argue too much, given the price/watt value ratio. A true 850W unit will power SLI 580s. If you only decide to go with one, you could move down to a more well-known and well-supported 650W power supply instead. Just food for thought.

Drop the Rosewill PSU, go for Corsair much more trusted and much more reliable.

I'd consider Ripjaws for the memory as they are dirt cheap and perform very very well. I'd consider 1333 or 1066 RAM for the price as ram speeds don't show them selves unless you're doing a lot of benching.

The GTX580 from what I hear is a nice card, don't really have any complaints there. The sandy bridge is nice and the Hyper 212 is an amazing Heatsink.

+1, it's like stating you just bought Bose speakers... prepare for the flame >_>;

Welcome to the forums. :)

Good choice on hard drive, lots of capacity, but dirt cheap, F3's are more commonly recommended.

CPU is a safe bet.

Are you in school or training or anything? Potential educational OS discounts out there if so.

Case I unfamiliar with, but if you have read a review then you know what you are getting.

Video card is a beast, I'm jealous.

DVD-Rom? You don't want to burn cds or dvds on occasion?

Why did you pick the Rosewill PSU? That wouldn't immediately be my choice in that price range, but maybe you know something I don't - I'm not hip on the latest PSUs or manufacturers. I would just get whatever these guys told me to that fits my budget: http://www.overclockers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=589708

Vengeance RAM is fine. Depends if you have any interest in memory OCing. Most do not for daily drivers, or it is very mild, in which case memory doesn't matter much.

Motherboard is quality, but probably slightly better to go with the sabertooth:

Why did you pick that fan? I would never pay $8 for a fan unless it was willing to cook me breakfast or tell me I'm pretty with a very sincere tone. Or if it was a panaflo or something with a good reputation, otherwise $8 for a fan sounds like a lot of clams to me.

Good HSF, best bargain for high end air.

There's other PSU besides Corsairs. Antec, XFX, some OCZ, even some Rosewill, are just a few to comes to mind. Corsairs products, IMO, have a fanatical following even though they are as flawed or as good as anyone else.

I couldn't thank you guys enough for your advice! Thank You!
After some thought i have come to a conclusion that i will be changing the current things in my setup:
I will use: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131702 For my Motherboard

I will use http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139021 For my Power Supply

I will add a http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835185057 instead of the other fan for additional air flow, And also a http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835119052 to go in the fan slot that is in the motherboard.

Also, I switched my Hard drive to: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152185

I am still thinking about the case but that is not what i am worried about. Thank you!!

Both are great motherboards. I actually liked your first choice better, but I just personally don't like the Sabertooth boards.

You don't need the extra 120mm fan. Any decent case will come with plenty of fans to keep everything cool. The TUF jacket covers almost anything over the motherboard, that's why I'd make an exception and still order the 50mm fan just for more direct airflow, but the 120mm isn't needed.

Shop around, Newegg is a great retailer, but I'm sure some of the parts are cheaper elsewhere.

I don't know much about 50mm fans, but that is one area I would pay extra for if I knew the fan to be of good quality - 50mm fans can be whiny/noisy, so going off of what Knufire mentioned, I would drop the 120mm if it meant I had extra change to throw at a really nice 50mm.
