Has there been a date siad for when the radeon 9700 is coming out? Does the radeon 9000 or 9000 pro soppurt directx9?

The R9000 series are value-minded directX8.1 cards. The R9000 can be found around ~80 right now, but prices will be dropping, as the card was just released.
The date many on-line retailers have for the R9700 are in early Sept.
