New CD/DVD Burner

I searched the storage sub forum and don't see this being asked lately.

I need to order a couple of new DVD/CD Burner. The only requirement is that it is SATA.

I assume that the performance is pretty close from the various manufactures.

Is there anything that people love? or hate?

LG & Pioneer. Both are top quality for noise/performance IMO. Though I have not used an SATA version.

I found 2 SATAs. I think LG releases a new model every 2 weeks so what I have currently is not listed anymore

Pioneer DVR-212D SATA
LG GSA-H62N SATA

Lightscribe means nothing to me but oh well it's SATA! Judging by reviews alone I would go for the LG.

The LG does look pretty good. I don't care about Lightscribe either.
