New RAM and mb making beeping noises???

Hi,
Recently my motherboard blew up and so I bought a new one (an m4a79xtd) and some ddr3 ram with it (ocz amd BE 4gb at 8-8-8) and put it all in my system to be greeted with 3 beeps (one long and two short). I have tried each module separately and in different slots to no avail. Can anyone help please?!

1 Long and 2 Short = Indicates a video error has occurred and the BIOS cannot initialize the video screen to display any additional information

You should check your video card. Is it new, too?
Is it seated properly?
Is the power cable to it nice and snug in its socket?

Most of the time I've heard that, it's been video card related or ram not in there at all. lol .
