I've got a new computer and I am attempting to overclock it and run SETI. Before you say it's my OC, listen to what I say first. I've tried using the optimized clients for Cuda & Astropulse from lunatics.kwsn.net, from this posting modified-seti-mb-cuda-opt-ap-package-for-full-gpu-utilize. I've also reset the project to get the default files from Seti@Home.

What I want to know is this, does anyone have problems with your computer's video card drivers freezing, causing a BSOD, or just restarting your computer?

My video card isn't overclocked, I've even gone back to a low overclock stock @ 2.66GHz to 3GHz (Yes I've even upped my CPU, FSB, & RAM voltages). But I still get the problem of with the video card and the restarts.

I've stopped running Seti and I'm going to run Prime95 for a while to see if it does it there too, but I just wanted to know if you guys have problems with the new GPU crunching too?!?!

I've run Prime95 for going on 11 hours now, without bonic running and so far it hasn't froze or anything. I've run the Small FFT's and now I'm going to do the Blend while I'm at work today and see what that does. It's making me think something fishy about seti.

It may be the CUDA app is a unstable for your particular system - it's still new and bound to have a few quirks. That doesn't mean BOINC or the AK_v8 app is bad ...

23hrs in Prime and still running. I'm gonna say that Seti Cuda is the problem for now, gonna go back to the AK_v8 app.

Yes they have firmware. Below is what NVIDIA System Information says about my video card. In yellow is my video bios firmware #.

I switched back to using the ""Win64_AK_AP_SSE41" optimized seti app. Which according to Real Temp 2.90 I've been running straight for 7hr 31min so far with no restarts. I guess I'll wait till seti gets all the bugs worked out of their Cuda GPU program to attempt using it again.
