next-gen videocards, what kind of VRAM: GDDR7? GDDR7x?

Is there yet another GDDR standard going to be released for next gen. videocards? What about HBM? Doesn't HBM have more bandwidth and less power consumption than any GDDR flavour?

HBM died for the consumer...cost versus benefit. Those were expensive and didn't offer a lot of benefits at the time (more efficient, higher bandwidth, but bandwidth wasn't an issue at the time, really).
