I think game console limit PC gaming detail because of cross platform. We should be playing with this graphics detail on a GTX 1080 SLI at 1080p like this. The picture is not as sharp as the original video play at the Nvidia GTX 1080 launch.

I think the console's limitations are because of the hardware budget. $1500 consoles aren't going to sell as well as $500 consoles, and they're probably mostly used on 720p and 1080p displays anyway.
