Hi all,

Have new rig, just assembled.

- Asus Z77 Sabertooth mobo
- Intel I5-3570K
- Nvidia GTX 660
- Silverstone Stryder Evo 1000W PSU
- Coolermaster CM690 II Advanced Case
- Coolermaster TPC 812 CPU Cooler
- 16GB GSkill PC3-12800 DDR3 XMP Ready

Updated all drivers and bios.

Ran OC Tuner from Asus BIOS UEFI and currently clocked at 4.2 Ghz. I'm a bit of an OC noob but have done lots of reading.

Ran AIDA64 Extreme and Prime 95 for around 12 hours, no issues.

Monitored via RealTemp, max temps during stress tests were 64, 71, 65, 67.

Should I/Could I push this harder as an everyday use rig?

Rig is intended almost solely for gaming purposes.

Any insights/comments/suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks,

Simon

Welcome Simon to OCF Forums it all really depends on the temps during testing most say try to stay below 80c. For the best results on yours you have a little room for a bit more. Most run there rigs around 4.2 to 4.5 for day to day use mine is 4.5Mhz which i use all the time, so its up to you! AJ. :)
