Odd overclocking a q9650

Problem is, that g31 board is a dud overclocking... so i wouldnt move to it for 24/7 and expect to reach your clocks. 3 phase power...no heatsinks and a high end quad.

Does g31 allow fsb changes?? Its been so long.
 
yeah it does. and im not gonna overclock on it. just run tests with speed step enabled and disabled.

If its gonna be this way with this processor, then i guess in the end im stuck wtih (near) stable 3.8ghz or get another board if im that desperate...unless theres an actual vdroop mod for this board that works like a charm.
 
From the looks of those, they might not work for my board. i am not sure about any of them so i would have to check and see if my board has the same thing.

just want to be extra sure.
