Old Video Cards That Used To Be #1 on HWBot

This is a question for the older\modder generation.
What do you guys do with your older video cards, after they have set xx record?
Do you place them in a box for a later time? Do you swap parts with other members? Do you put them up for sale to other members?

The reason that I ask this is very simple and I have seen this on HWBot.
This observation is from MetalRacer (one of our own) from his submissions of scores to HWBot.org
If you take older ATI\AMD or NVidia video cards and pair them to current CPUs, you end up with top 10 score in several bench marks.
