Hi there folks. i posted here about a year ago regarding overclocking. (the original thread can be found here.)

after getting a stable clock rating of 4.0ghz, i decided enough was enough *for now*, and left it for a year at that. however, now im bored again, so time to play with the cpu again.

This time the big changes for my overclocking are:

1: CPU power phase control: last time i left this set to Default. this time, i am setting this to Asus Optimized. we'll see what, if any, changes this makes.

2: Bios version: last time i was on bios version 1903. now im on the current version, 2501.

Previously, my highest overclock was [email protected]. im currently starting at [email protected]. we'll see how it goes.

Edit: while pushing my OC i BSOD my computer, corrupted the NTFS filesystem on my data storage drive, and may have lost some data. needless to say, i'll come back to this in a couple days. :p see you then.
