P4C800E Deluxe - SMBUS Unknown Device

My Device Manager shows my SMBUS as an "Unknown Device" and requests that I reinstall the SMBUS driver. Where the heck is it? I can't locate it on the Asus system utility disk, nor on the Asus website.

I've been running for 2 months without it, but I know it has something to do with temperature and fan monitoring. So as i get into overclocking, this feels like something I will miss.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

right-clicked the "uknown device" then select "update driver" then it will install it for you..........

Tried that, it would not find the driver. Either on the hard disk or on the Asus MB driver disk.

go to www.intel.com download the latest chipset driver "INF Chipset Driver" then install it....let's see if it fixes it......
