I have a P8Z77-V LK mobo and trying to use a intel 520 240gb SSD on it

however it wont reconize the ssd when i plug it into the SATA3 port but it will work on the SATA2 port.

I have another hdd 1gb, that works when i plug into the SATA3 port.

Is there something wrong with my mobo?

Did you set in the BIOS to AHCI before you installed your SSD and your OS on to it? Also if this was a new drive did you Format the drive before you put your OS on to it? So it would be seen by your OS and motherboard! Did you check in the Mobo Manuel as to which Sata is which etc.

@ don check this and come back to the forum and let us know your results!

Did you initialize the drive in Computer Management? If its a new drive, you must go in to computer management (rt click on my computer) and intialize the drive before you can use it....

EDIT: Well if a S2 port sees it... no clue.. sorry.
