Does your motherboard manual recommend populating memory slots 2 and 4 instead of 1 and 3 when installing only two sticks of RAM? Usually, we install them beginning with the slot closest to the CPU socket but there are some boards that do it the other way and sometimes the first slot is blocked when using large aftermarket coolers, particularly if the RAM has tall heat spreaders.

according to the screenshots he just posted his mem modules are populating 3 and 4. we need someone to go over and give his rig a good once over. from what ive read so far i think he needs to start with the proper memory placement, voltage and timings. then how to repaste the cpu cooler and clean it. then tackle case cooling 101. followed by teaching him how to use a multi so he can keep an eye on that psu.
