With all this talk of old hardware recently, I decided to dig out some of my old stuff.
I forgot how many socket 7 CPUs I had!
I also found a few gem 486's including an AMD 486dx4!!

There is also a silcon wafer pictured with a couple hundred CPU cores on it.

And an engineering sample of a celeron labeled "intel confidential"
Even the box I was storing them in is something to laugh at! I actually still use that video card in my server, being passively cooled with a socket 7 heatsink.

and just for kicks... I threw in a picture of my system

Well +1 to the MX440, I have a dell with one chugging along... And also nice find on the 486! As well at the "confidential" celeron. I recently delidded a celeron for the hell of it.

labeled "intel confidential"
I remember that movie. Who was in it again? Mickey Rourke and Meg Ryan?

That's a lotta CPUs. I got to the point where I realized, even in a maximum possibility world, I'm probably not going to need more than half a dozen socket 5/7 CPUs so I tossed most of mine. Even so I probably had only half of what you've got there. Oh for a time machine. 1997 is just dying to pay top dollars for those chips....

Believe it or not, this is actually about half of what I had. I too, thinned down my collection about a year ago. After taking these pics last night I remembered where I had a few more PIII,s PII's and some socket A stuff.
I Just wish I had a socket 3 mobo so I could torture those 486's.
