Decided to upgrade not to long ago and its lead in to a few other things.

-Started with-
Motherboard - MSI 770T-C45
CPU - Athlon II X2 245
CPU Cooler - Thermaltake V1
Memory - 4GB's of Kingston DDR2
Video Card - XFX 4890 1GB
PSU - ThermalTake 850 Black Widow
Case - ThermalTake Armor LCS

I'll be doing some lower end upgrades, bumping the ram up. This project has turned in to my new storage server. as I have just ordered my new system a few days ago.

First Ill be adding 8gigs of G.Skill Pi Series (DDR2-1066 5-5-5-15), and a AMD 1090T Black Edition.

I also wanted some more air flow through this old case, it a alright case (For its time). Here ill be taking out any (Honneycomb) that they used for the fans.

I cut out 3 sections total, Top, and two in the back (HDD rank, and Case exhaust). I also wanted some more fans in the bottom for cooling my GPU it by no means gets hot with a slight overclock, but what the hell.

While I'm at it I wanted to add some more wire management.

And to be honest this is where the build was going to stop, but the project grew.

The cable management came out really well.

Great computers together, lets see what improvements we have. Well the first time I ran Prime95 within 5 minutes my CPU hit 95C and shutdown. This first test was with the same cooler I had on my x2 245, a Thermaltake V1 (The picture above has the stock cooler installed). So thinking about just getting better air cooling I searched around. With these TALL sticks of ram not much will fit on the Highend Air side. So I've decided to go back to water cooling. Waiting right now for the fedex man. (He cant come fast enough).

Ill be installing the XSPC Rasa RS360, swapping out for PrimoFlex Pro LRT - Green, adding some anti-kink coils, some Silverstone AP121's and a Scythe KAZE-Q 12 fan controler. I could not sit here idle for a week while they where being shipped so I started on something else.

I slapped a youtube video together for it.

-Battle Damage Mod Part 1-

I really do love the way these turned out.

Well Half of my order came in today. So I've torn everything apart and built a Test Bench. Just so I can keep running while I keep building.

Now back to work.
Water cooling is no longer going in this case, and the XSPC kit will be used for my new build.

Well I was going to have a Update tomorrow morning or so. I was just tossing some lacquer on some on the panels when my drop cloth blew up and touched the edge of the top and pulled 2-3 coats with it. Ezway for a fix. Is Ill have to let dry for a few day tape off and sand that edge, and repaint. I just hope I can blend the edge. First Post updated as well with project changes.
