so motherboard its a apmcp68 so i want to put a new graphic card but my slot pci express its 2.0 and the pci express of the graphics card it's 2.1 i askif it will gonna work in this?

Yup. All PCIe slots and cards are compatible, no matter what version.

Correct me if I am wrong though. If you put a 3.0 in a 2.0, won't it not perform up to its full potential?

It will. PCIe is made to be super future-proofed. Current video cards, I belive are about the speed of PCIe 1.0 x16 = PCIe 2.0 x8 = PCIe 3.0 x4.
