Portforward not working!

Hey guys,

I have a really annoying issue.

I have a Netgear CG3000, old POS, but ISP wont let me use any other.

Anyhoo, I have to opten port 25565 for minecraft server, thats all good nice, it was already open and tested on an older pc that didnt work out for minecraft use, but the port was open.

So i went in, deleted that portward, setup the new portforward to the new ip form the new pc, its cable so there shouldnt be any issues, but the port remains closed now.

No matter what i do, the post is closed closed closed! I have reset the router, reset pc, reset anything really, tried different IP's over wifi, nothing. Wont open!

How on earth do i solve that?

Make sure the port is open on any local firewall?

The pc im using has firewall turned off, due to issues.

Everything is done as stated in manual, and online instructions from ISP, and nothing.. just nothing

Not sure if this will help but there is a free program called Simple Port Forwarding which has 2,918 routers listed. Portable too.

I got it working, but port is shown as closed, but a factory reset on the router made it work.
