Press win + g before opening a game

From what I've read "press win + g" is the xbox app opening up while gaming and it is what's causing my World of Warcraft to get these in game stutters every so often. I read that I'm supposed to go into the xbox app and do something rather but I deleted the app in programs and files. I cannot find it anywhere now but it continues to do this. What should I do?

Haven't tried myself, but I think the app is in the windows store so you might have to delete it from there to remove any remaining hooks.
