Printer disapeared?

I just had something odd happen at work. No one here can explain it. When I was going to print something out, I noticed that one of my printers was, well gone. After asking every one that uses this computer if they did any thing that could have deleted it, no one said they did. This is very strange, is their any way I could see when or how the printer got deleted?

I got the printer working, thats not the problem. I'd just like to know how the hell a printer just disappears. It's just one of those things that's knawing at the back of my mind.

maybe a magical gnome came and did his magic and magically made the magic printer magically dissappear....magically!
