problems problems possibly an RMA

brand new lanparty dk 790 fx-b.
brand new phenom 965

first the processor is running at 1800 mhz.
turned off cool 'n' quiet, then it runs at 800 mhz.
manually set bus and multiplier. 200x17.
still running at 800 mhz (200x4)
reset bios settings.
no boot.
clear cmos.
still at 200x4
try again setting bus and multiplier manually.
no boot.
clear cmos.
no boot.
clear cmos.
no boot.
post code 88 (not an actual post code apparently)
video cards do not come on (fans don't spin)

Those're symptoms of an outdated bios that doesn't support that CPU. Update to the newest BIOS and try again. I bet that'll fix it.

ok so here's the sketch. i spoke to a dfi tech support guy and he suggested the rma. so i've emailed their rma department and will hopefully hear back soon.

man i hope this all works out. i have games to play!
