Q6600 being a pain...

i had a 1.325 VID Q6600 that needed 1.485v for 3.4 IIRC. that same chip took 1.565 to get 3.6 stable. i got rid of that one and picked up another one that has a 1.30 VID but doesn't clock very well either. these are the chances that we take...not all chips are good clockers.

in case you haven't figured it out yet, this can be a very expensive addiction. much more rewarding than other addictions though.

I use an ASUS P5E WS-PRO with a G0 Q6600 being cooled by a Zalman CNPS9500, ASUS 3870 and 4 x @G OCZ 6400 DDR2 in a Coolermaster Cosmos S case.

Room temp was 23

FSB - 366 x 9
Voltage damper - Enabled - helps to inhibit vdroop
NB - 1.55 with 0.63
CPU PLL - 1.56 with 0.67
PCIE - Disabled
FSB to NB strap - 333
FSB Termination voltage - 1.5
Vcore (Bios/idle/load) - 1.375 1.36 1.384
VID - 1.325
DDR2 - 733 MHz at 5-4-4-15 @2.1v

Ran Prime 95 64 bit for 1 hour using In place large FFTs - max heat
Then started 3dMark06 - ran ALL tests using repeat 10 times for each test (this was running at same time as prime so CPU and GPU fully used)
3DMark took 2 hours then I let Prime continue for another 12 hours

Idle temps
31 31 28 31
Load temps
69 69 65 65 at end of 3dMark test
69 69 67 67 after 15 hours in total
