Ram heatsinks on my Radeon 8500 128mb

Well, they won't fit. So will they still get heat if I put them under the card? [The underside of the gpu on the ram]
I don't know if that is as effective, so I'm just making sure. I'll have to cut them probably if not.

but, not perfect...

put them underside of mem, run some benchmark,
and touch mem surface, if cool enough, u can use them...
