Hi Folks, I just got my machine built and now I am trying to dial it in with the UEFI BIOS. My Ram is showing it's set to 1600 and I bought 2400. So I set it in the BIOS as 2400 and it would not reboot. I cleared CMOS and it booted. What am I doing wrong? Thanks:)

Set the XMP profile in the bios.

Its most likely trying to run the timings from 1600 at 2400mhz.

Without knowing the exact model of RAM you have or the rated timings and voltage, and if enabling the DDR3-2400 XMP profile doesn't work for you for whatever reason, in addition to manually adjusting the timings and voltage to their rated values try setting VTT to ~1.02V and VCCSA to ~1.016V.
