The Micron ECC Registered RAM you're using is incompatible w/ that board. You need to use Non-ECC and Non-Registered / Unbuffered RAM.

IIRC, I have heard that using ECC RAM in a motherboard that don't support ECC RAM possibly would still be fine with the motherboard ignoring the ECC portion.
I dunno.

The random errors sounds like you need to reseat the RAM, and possibly wrong latency settings and/or wrong VDIMM.

That is some serious marketing hype! Every board (that is not server type board) uses NON-ECC (Registered) ram unless otherwise noted. I don't know what info you're reading, but that info is false. Read the motherboard's user manual and it will clearly state NON-ECC ram. Swap that ECC ram to NON-ECC ram, clear the cmos and try again.

redduc is one of the most knowledgeable members here. He knows exactly what he's talking about.

Here Does not state ECC Ram in specs.

Here Also does not state ECC Ram.

What Nebulous said. ECC RAM is meant for server motherboards, and most desktop motherboards aren't equipped to handle it. Get some good desktop memory (Non-ECC) and sell the ECC RAM.
