I have read in several places that the 305s actually have slightly more balanced sound.

The OP has already stated that he want a pair of active monitors that are capable of sufficient bass without a subwoofer. Thus is why I suggested a pair with 8" woofers... -3db @ 37hz.

May have been a different set of LSR's then. I remember the rokit's and the JBL's I tried were just not pleasing to my ear (over bassy, even with the bass turned down), but that video sounded really good and balanced.

Why not use Pro end gear when you can.

Yeah my 30 year old Kenwoods I bought new when they came out use 14" subs, and were about 110 bucks each in 1981.



If you don't care to buy any of them don't I'm not twisting your arm.

that is definitely not something i want. also a note on the lsr308s i believe both the woofer and tweeter have -2db, 0db, and +2db selectors.

those Behringer Eurolive B208D look very intriguing, but so do the Behringer Truth B2031A, im gonna look into those
