Been a while since I setup a remote desktop server for WAN.

Currently running the termserv for LAN and it works well.

This is on a comcast business account and IP is not static but it is extremely consistent. So I will NOT need a DDNS software.

I can install IIS, but was wondering if that was the best way to go, since 10 years have passed, or if I should look at a 3rd party freeware that might have better data compression.

Thought I closed this thread?

I am giving up on server 2003. since I was able to setup a VPN server and get remote connectivity in about 30 minutes with more modern stuff (server 2003 still wont connect to it, let alone creating its own)

So going to periodically kick the server till it dies and a new one is needed lol.
