:salute:after destroying my Sabertooth FX990 R1
i got the Sabortooth FX990 R2

i am now up and running again.
do i need to reformat and re install windows 7? (drive C the ssd)
also my motherboard says i have a p67 board...
also i have a system image (made with the R1 board) on my backup drive(drive e western digital see my sig)

any help/guidance would be welcomed

oh and bios 0219 i have not looked at what the currant is yet

Nope, don't need to reinstall anything. Both identical boards with the exception of the revisions. Maybe update drivers if needed. :)

Now what exactly is showing that you have a P67 board? That isn't right as you have an AMD. P67 is intel :confused:
 
Hmm, strange. Is that a bundled software that comes on the CD with the mobo? Could be the software is using the same temp sensors on the AMD board and the P67 board. Any issues with the board itself?
 
One thing the R2.0 does not have that the R1.0 had is Firewire ports. If you want Firewire, you need a add on card, ether PCI or PCIe.
There are a few extras the R2.0 has but that should not effect anything.
