My PSU is the rather nifty Tuniq Ripper 1000W

I also have 3 HDDs

250GB Western Digital SATA II - boot drive
200GB Western digital SATA1 - data drive #1
500GB Western Digital SATA1 - data drive #2

Please note that my Sapphire MB is an exact clone of the Jetway HA-08

The Sapphire page...

Cannot direct link...so...

Go to:

Product > Mainboard > Socket AM3 > Discrete CrossFireX-790GX,790FX > PC-AM3RS790G - PURE CrossFireX 790GX

The Jetway page...

Hmm...exactly the same!

Okay, now to my PROBLEM!

I've got a second 3870x2 and have been TRYING to get them working in Quadfire...to no avail!

I just can't seem to get the MB to detect the second 3870x2...

Read HERE to follow what I've done...

Same here, i have the same mobo

5970 + 5970 no luck, the mobo won't detect the 2nd card
5970 + 5870 no luck
5970 + 8800GTX for physics no luck

i have given up hope long ago

Some of the older boards couldn't run X2's in CrossFire/SLI though I'm not sure that applies to the PCIe 2.0 spec - and it wouldn't explain jet5970's problems. I'd suggest you both contact the motherboard manufacturer ...
