SATA3 RAID0 vs SATA2 RAID0 (ARECA 2GB Cache)

Hello there,

I upgraded my RAID Array a few weeks ago and decided to move my 2x256GB Samsung 840 PRO RAID0 From my onboard controller to the ARECA because it has 2GB of cache.

The thing is i also upgraded to w8.1 and i have a stuttering OS, which should not happen with the conf. The onboard SATA3 controller is on a ASUS p8z77-v deluxe

So the big question is:

Do the RAID0 of the SSD's saturate the SATA2 channel? Should i move the RAID back to the onboard controller?

Might be worth trying the Vantec card out I have on here in my signature for more Sata 3 connects.

I'm having pretty good luck using my 2 X EVOS on it as a OS drive in RAID0.

You'd have to mirror it one way or another to it or do a clean install if ya went that way.

My two cents.
