I've also got a question.

SLI sounds great for gaming, but... What about 3D rendering and animation? Would there be equally noticable gains from hardware rendering with the GPU, assuming the CPU isn't crap?

i guess so cos uv got twice the GPUage.

Excelent, but you forgot about the 8600 GTS, Im planing of get another one to put it on SLI, I hope there's a difference, alone games runs very good, but I want more, but since I dont have money to get the 8800, I go to the mindrange 8600 GTS ,thanks you for this thread.
