think of it this way: (or try if you need to)
blow through a drinking straw.
blow through a paper towel tube.

no matter how hard you blow (...) you'll never get as much (volume) of air through the straw as through the tube.

air/water...you/pump



but this all seems kinda pointless if you dont even care enough to use thermal paste
