Sound advice With amp

ok, I have the Creative SB X-Fi Xtreme Audio and im useing the optical out into my 5.1 suround sound system. Not computer speakers, Im talking about the Home theater 700w pioneer amp and nice speakers. Are there any good testing programs outther to test each channel signal/volum etc?

When i had speakers hooked up it was right inside the volum options.
