Have you used an alternate source to rule out problems with the amp/speakers? That'd be step one IMHO. Plug it into the same input the computer is plugged into, and see if it also has issues.

hmmmm....no i havent tried that, could i use something like my phone? Atm i dont have another sound setup up to hook to the pc if thats what you mean. tryin my phone atm, everything seems ok, i notice theres no popping noises when i swtich tracks as well

Since you are using an Asus card, you might want to use third party drivers. I user these for my card. http://maxedtech.com/asus-xonar-unified-drivers/ I have the STX II, and they make all difference in the world. It probably won't help with your problem, but I highly recommend them.
