I'd lower that VCore first if i were you... if default is 1.65v as stated above then why are you at 1.7x if not o/c'ing??

Just put the vcore down first before you go out spending money on a heatsink....

probably he gets .05 volt higher vcore because he has an Asus mobo and they like to give the CPU a little extra juice just to be "on the safe side".

but yes, he could probably even run at 1.6v or a little less at stock speeds.
