They go on and on and on. Its a Gigabyte problem and I think you should send as many links as you have to your retailer and insist that these boards are defective and does not fit the quality and usage it was intended for. When I started seing my very problem with other Gigabyte boards I knew that this one wont get a fix. It would seem that either you have the right combo of components with these boards or it wont work correctly.

Hm, i can't seem to get that problem with my board. I've been testing to see if i could.

So if you say! clocked the FSB only a little up or down, and saved 5 times in a row changing the fsb each time it will post boot every time? I got it to save only once out of 5 goes.

My FSB is stable at 9x 340, I put it down too 333 and save. The pc shuts down then instantly powers back up. The screen is blank and a pauses of about 9 seconds. At this point it will do one of two things, power back down again then post into default settings, or post right away with my new clock speed.

Problem:

1) Any change to the FSB requires the power to completely shut down. This causes 8/10 to reset bios to auto for any clock.

2) Having a external USB device pluged in causes a interruption in the post boot, this causes the bios to reset itself. Leagasy bootable device in bios must be turned off, this functioin fails to work.

Iv tryed the following.

1) unplug all USB deices Iliminates problem 2
2) Unplug Sata or IDE devices Has no effect
3) Try one memory modual at a time Has no effect
4) Change the PSU Has no effect
5) Change the gfx card Has no effect
6) Update bios to F11 and clear cmos manually Has no effect

UPDATE

Ok, I tried a different keyboard. And the problem is almost gone. I can save oc settings and bios boots fine. No more boot cycles, except every once in a while, if I keep pressing DEL button while memory check, it will revert back to safe BIOS setting.

I do not have any issue with saving BIOS settings. It might be one of your components that's causing the issue. I also suspect RAM. Are you giving enough voltage to the ram?

The bios itself does actualy save, only during the shut down stage is when it post boots into another power shut down followed by all settings being reset. Another thing I noted last night was when I accidently booted into the wrong windows I pressed the reset button on my tower, this caused the pc to power down and post boot and yet again, it reset the overclock?

Iv made a 8min video showing what is happining, if anyone can see anythink thats wrong let me know please.
