how can i replace the 4wire fan on this cooler? I have a bunch of 3 wire fans and anyone know what kind of screws to buy in order to install the fan? The screws that were being used were actually cheap rubber gromets that are total crap.

So i replaced the fan with a 4pin molex link depot generic fan. The temps are within range for a conroe cpu. I reused the gromets because the fan was easily snapped on and off of the Heatsink.

It looks like you should be able to replace the stock fan mounts with bolts and hex nuts. Just insert the bolt from inside of the shroud. So any 92mm fan should work unless the hole spacing is different on the stock fan.

whats the deal with the 4 wire fan? Could i use a 3wire fan in its place?

Yeah, as long as the hole spacings line up you can use whatever fan you'd like.
