is the Intel LGA 775 Pentium 4 530 3.0 GHz, 800MHz FSB, 1MB L2 Cache, Hyper Threading Technology - a good one or shall i get adiff. one does it work with the ABIT fatal1ity aax8e 3rd eye

Any of the LGA775 processors will work with the Fatal1ty mobo. The i915/i925 mobos usually average 240 to 260 FSB because of the imperfect PCI-E lock. The new i925XE chipsets support 266 FSB processors (like the Fatal1ty), so if you can hit at least 266 FSB, then you can go higher. If you are looking at a budget CPU, maybe pick the LGA775 520 2.8 GHz if you are looking to get a good overclock. Or you can get the 3.2 and keep the FSB down to a manageable speed. Another option is to find a higher speed CPU that will drop down to the 14X multiplier.
