Thermal pad thickness for gpu

hey guys.

any Zotac 1070ti amp editions owners out there. do you guys know how thick the thermal pads should i use for my vram and vrms.


dont know if i need 0.5 or 1mm. need help

1mm is fairly thick and my understanding of this is that you want to be somewhat thin on the thermal pads and only increase in thickness when you are not getting the physical contact needed due to larger spacing. The thicker the pad the less thermal transfer. I would go w/ the 0.5mm 1st. Your question is very specific so the odds of someone knowing that is kinda slim.

If you go with the cheaper pads, you can order both sizes for under $5 total. Place the pads on the HS and see which ones work, then order the correct size in the better/best pads
