Hi All,

I have a question on non computer related topic.

I have taken my ecu off my car and want to change the thermal paste on the circuit board.

I think it is thermal paste as it is some grey stuff on the circuit board chips and also on the metal bit so in my view it is used to dissipate heat

here is a pic of my circuit board so you guys can take a guess on what the greyish stuff is

quite confident it is not as it is not like glue and can be taken off by scrapping it as if it was a dried thermal paste .

does silicon based thermal past have any electricity conductivity ?
