Thermalright thermal grease vs Arctic Silver 5

Hi,

I'm ready to install my new lapped Thermalright Ulta-120 Extreme + A2018 Blue Led Fan on my Q6600. I wonder if I should use the included thermal grease or Arctic silver 5. The manual recommends to paint the whole processor surface but I think this could bee too much.

I need your opinion... Thanks!

AS5 for sure... just a small pea sized drop in the center of the IHS will be plenty

What nd4 said .. but if you want slightly lower temps faster there are other TIMs out there .. AS5 has a thermal cure time so boot up your PC n leave it stress testing for a good 24 hours, that way the paste has time to settle in ..
