I just got everything installed. Every time that I run the Sound check program it tells me to unplug any outside devices when the only thing plugged into it are my dvd burner and dvd player in the cd and aux ports on the sound card. It still fails even when I unplug those. Here are my test results

What happens is sound only comes out of the front left and center speakers. The sub works as well. No sound comes from my rear or front right speaker. There are also audible snaps and pops like underlying static that I never used to get with my audigy 2. My audigy 2 sounded great with these speakers. I'm using the logitech 5.1 z-640s. Should I RMA the card or is there something that I can do to fix it?
 
I'm using the latest drivers. When I first installed them I installed them from the cd. When I got the computer online and everything updated I downloaded the most up to date drivers that I could find. I uninstalled the old drivers and then installed the new drivers. Just fyi I got the same errors when I had the original drivers from the cd installed. Since I just bought the card and the most up to date driver was a year old or so I'm guessing that the cd already had the most up to date drivers on it.
 
Can you try it on a different system? if you can't just rma it just to be safe and if the next card has the same problem then you know it's not the card.
 
I'll give that a shot. I have to take the machine apart to install a new heatsink anyway.
