hello

first i am sorry for my bad english...

second excuse me if it is Repetitive posts...

i need help to unlock 4th core of my AMD X3 460 in the Gigabyte M52LT-D3P motherboard.

in the bios setup i enable unlock setting but windows give crash (dump).

have any way to unlock !??!

i read in Gigabyte site that my motherboard can do unlock with easy tune 6 ! but how ?!?!?!

please help...

tnx for you help...

First, please understand that the core is locked because AMD deemed it as "bad". It isn't guaranteed that you can get that core to work.

Second, are you at stock speed? Can we get full system specs please?

yes i dont change any cpu speed or voltage !

mother board : Gigabyte M52LT-D3P
CPU : AMD X3 460
CPU cooling : Stock
VGA : ATI Radeon 4670
Power : Green 500w
Memory : 2x2G
Storage : maxtor 80G + 320 G

Might not happen on the stock cooler then.
Usually a core unlock is accompanied by extra voltage. Extra voltage means extra heat, which the stock cooler doesn't like.

yes i know it !

but i try to found how can unlock it !

because i cant unlock with the bios setup ! or i dont know how !

how can easy tune do this !?

I don't know anything about using EasyTune.

Anything with the CPU should be done in the BIOS though.

In the BIOS, go to Advanced BIOS Features. Then select CPU Unlock [Enabled]. Next, set CPU Core Control to [Enabled]. Now you should be able to change CPU Core from [Disabled] to [Enabled].

If that works, test the CPU with Prime95 for 2 hours on Blend mode to make sure it is stable.

tnx for your answers bro.

but with that work windows give crash(dump)! :(

have any suggestion for this ?!

sorry i havent edit sig in the quick link !!

Windows is crashing because the core isn't getting enough voltage.

Give core voltage a bump, if that doesn't work the core is most likely not going to work.

how much i most increase voltage ?!

with the stock cooling system ! can i test it for a minute and then return to 3 core or it is dangerous and can hurt the CPU ?!?!

a lot of tnx ....

I wouldn't increase voltage on the stock cooler because you can easily overheat the CPU.
