viper rgb ddr4 2666 ram overclocking

hey guys, i have an i5 8600k , 16 gigs of patriot viper rgb ram 2666 mhz , and aurous ultra gaming mobo z 370 . i got my cpu overclocked to a stable 5 ghz no problem , but my ram wont overclock. i can set it higher but when i actually load into windows there is no effect. it just resets automatically. i tried every ocing video out there but cant figure it out.i paid a small fortune for this ram because its supposedly a super overclocker. even with ram prices so low , this 2666 ram is still sky high .

Nothing is guaranteed above the stock clock. I don't know from where you got that info about overclocking of this memory kit but I wouldn't count on much looking at my previous tests of similar kits.
Anyway, please download thaiphoon burner and post a screenshot with memory module info. If we don't know what IC is there then we can't help much.

steve from gamers nexus recommended it a while back. i asked him in a live chat .on a overclocking video he did .
