water cooling on the ASrock oc formula

So i have a air cooled system right now and when folding my temps are in the 70's. This board does have a built in water cooling option, but if i kept my 212 evo hooked up and wanted to go with a hybrid water/air setup, would the built in water cooling on the formula mobo lower the cpu temps or would that only cool something else?

The liquid cooling option for this motherboard only covers the voltage regulator and wont lower CPU temps more than 1C at best. It will however get your VRM nice and cool.
