What is this on laptop (pic inside)

Above the SD card reader is a rectangular box with a hole in the bottom right. I am guessing you can put a paperclip or something in the hole to push it out?

Looks like it's a cover for the card reader to me

Edit: I just realized that you said it's above the card reader.
Maybe another model has a DisplayPort or HDMI connection there and uses the same chassis?
