Want my computer to run a slight bit quicker and i think the memory might be to blame?

Current memory is :-

8GB micron technology 667Mhz DDR3 4x2GB

Rest of the PC:-

Motherboard:- Asus M5A97PRO
Processor:- AMD Phenom 1100t
Graphics:- Nvidia GTX 670
Storage:- Corsair Force Series 3 120 GB Internal SSD
Os:- Windows 7 64bit ultimate

SSD has the Os installed and main programs then secondary programs that i don't use so much are on a standard 500gb hdd.

I'm not quite sure what memory would suite the build and what memory would be good with the current processor and possibly a AMD Bulldozer FX-8 8150 in 6 months when the price drops a little :s

Upgrading from a 1100T to Bulldozer isn't a huge upgrade, I'd see what Piledriver has to offer.

Could you take a screen shot of the Memory and SPD tab on CPU-Z? I don't think DDR3 goes that low.

Probaly 1333 mhz ram. 667 would be what is reported by CPU-z and other reporting software that keys off the DDR bus frequency rather than the DDR3 double data rate.
