Whats an ok card

Hey everyone I'm looking to get a new vid card the one my cousin gave me is a geforce fx 5950 ultra but it cant run any new games like moh-4 whats a good card to get thats not going to break the back and will run most new games?

well there's always the 7900GS thats a decent card for under $100 sometimes after rebate.
